Wednesday 15th February 2012:

The night has been dry cloudy and mild, low 5.9c. At observation, cloud breaking, sunny spells developing.

Variable cloud overnight and a light northerly breeze, just a touch of ground frost detectected, Grass low –0.2c. At observation, bright, though with a good deal of high cloud. A mostly cloudy day followed with just a few bright spells, mild and dry.

Another rather lovely day, dry with good sunny spells. Though it felt a bit cool at times in the wind, especially when the sun wasn't shining.

Min = 7.8°C
Max = 11.2°C
Rain = 0.0 mm
Sunshine = 4.2 hours.

Highest minimum since the 28th January.

Just over halfway through February and it has been a cold one overall, especially when compared to the rest of the winter. Drier and slightly sunnier than normal.

Mean min = 0.1°C
Mean max = 6.5°C
Mean = 3.3°C
Rain = 19.0 mm
Sunshine = 53 hours.
