Saturday 07th July 2012:

Rainfall total yesterday from 05:00 GMT to 18:00 GMT = 31.9mm.

Variable cloud overnight. The day dawned bright with sunny spells, with shallow fog briefly over the near by fields. Cloud soon built with showers threatening by 06:30 GMT. At observation, still some bright spells, though shower cumulus building.

Raining lightly again now after being mainly dry since mid late morning. Overcast with cloud on hills.

The heaviest of the rain missed us in Paignton, and instead went to E Devon and Dorset. It is difficult to forecast exactly where the heaviest rain will fall!
