Lovely morning in Mount's Bay + Cliff top mist

Postby Graham Easterling » 2012 Sep 03, 11:14

A lovely large hole in the low cloud over Mount's Bay this morning, combined with almost calm conditions, glassy sea & lazy small (1-2' At Perranuthnoe) swell. The hole in the cloud over the Bay shows up well on this mornings visible satellite for 09:00, 10:00 & 11:00. Sc well off shore, small cumulus inland. Near perfect conditions for a swim, but leave the board at home.

Temperature @ 11:30 18.6C. Rather more in the way of cloud now (12:10) drifting off the land from the north.

UPDATE Some cliff top mist this afternoon (See Photo - also good examples of low tide rips despite the fairly calm sea & light breeze) . Excellent visibility immediately outside of the mist, as is often the case. 19.2C in Penzance @ 1630.
