Penzance 16:00 12th Hail & Thunder

Postby Graham Easterling » 2012 Oct 12, 15:04

Torrential rain, hail & thunder in Penzance (16:00) . With the rivers already very high this could cause some problems. Month's rainfall must be around 140mm by now, but I'm not going out to check. Already my 6th wettest October on record and it's only the 12th!! It's becoming quite exceptional.

Pic below shows a typical afternoon sky in west Cornwall. The heaviest rain tracked across Penwith & out over Mount's Bay.
