Postby Graham Easterling » 2013 Mar 22, 16:48

After yesterday's deluge (45mm in the 30 hours ending 09:00 today - some flooding again at Newlyn) it's been mainly dry since 09:00. Sunny spells have pushed the temperature up.

Max Temps:-
Land's End 12.8C
St Ives 12.4C
Penzance 12.0C
St Martin's Scilly 14.0C with the UV index reaching 3.7C

Warmest day for a while

Only the tip of Cornwall affected, the Land's End peninsula really, rain developed over most of Cornwall again this afternoon. More like 7C just up at Newquay. Currently (16:45) clear blue skies and a F2-3 southerly.

Only reached 8.5C here yesterday Graham and rain did not stop properly until 1800hrs.
Total for the 48 hr event was 75mm.

Today we have 6C and thankfully dry.
Even a bit of brightness as the sun tries to come through the stratus.
Wind is picking up from the east though so it won't stay as comfortable as this.
