Penzance - June not that wet, but July. . .

Postby Graham Easterling » 2012 Jul 07, 08:17

June was not especially wet here, 113.8mm - 162% of normal. Similar at Culdrose (126mm). So not the > 200% shown on the MetO anomaly map.
In 2006 78.9mm fell in the 24 hours ending June 27th. Now that was wet - the last big St Ives flood.

However July is proving more notable. Already 85mm, including 48.2 mm in the 24 hours to 09:00 today. That's the wettest 09:00-09:00 period since 51.9mm on 17/07/09
