Surf Forecasts & Historic Data

Postby Graham Easterling » 2012 Aug 17, 19:04

OK, slightly OT but it's staggering the amount of data now to be found on Magic Seaweed.

If you take just 1 of the hundreds of surfing beaches data is provided for (Sennen) you get this sort of data:-
Overview http://magicseaweed.com/spot-seasonal-o ... p?spotId=4
Click on 1 month and you get this http://magicseaweed.com/spot-monthly-ov ... =4&month=9 (based on 10 years data as far as Sennen concerned.) You can go to an individual date http://magicseaweed.com/spot-daily-hist ... h=3&day=10

If only this level of information was more easily available for other aspects of the weather.

Of course, it's most useful for a forecast http://magicseaweed.com/Sennen-Surf-Report/4/

Big wave the last 2 days. (Thought I'd experiment with a gif image - seems to work)
