Spanish Plume?

Looking at the forecast charts (ECMWF/GFS) for next week, I am wondering about the possibility of the "Spanish plume" and severe thunderstorms later in the week, especially over southern England. It looks like the upper level winds will be predominantly southerly, with a surface low moving north towards the UK, and light westerlies to its south. I am no expert on exactlyu what conditions produce a Spanish plume and supercell storms, but these charts do look encouraging for a storm chaser like me.
Over the last few years, major storms from France have tended to drift NE and miss the UK - maybe not this time?
