A heavy frost this morning - screen min was -4.5°C, grass min -8.2°C. The screen min was the lowest at this site for 19 months, since -5.0°C on 7 April 2013, although there were slightly lower grass minima during that period. The lowest screen min during last winter was 'only' -4.1°C, on 12 January.

A cold one here too that has finally finished off my chillies and runner beans!

Minimum of -1.6°C making it the lowest minimum since the 24th January with -1.6°C as well.

Grass minimum was not much lower with -2.8°C.

The compensation was a glorious day of unbroken sunshine, all 7.6 hours and a maximum temperature of 10.5°C.

In Farnborough it fell to -2.1C, just above last winter's lowest of -2.3C.
