19th June 2013 - 'Hot'

A very warm day with a surprisingly higher temperature than expected. This was probably due to a slight northerly flow and no sea breeze meaning the influence/cooling of the sea was virtually non-existant.

Also a sunny day after early mist and fog disappeared.

Minimum = 10.1°C
Maximum = 27.4°C
Sunshine = 10+ hours

With DPs between 16°C & 17°C all day and just the lightest of breezes it certainly felt warm and rather humid under a scorching sun. Good sea warming weather with SSTs in Lyme Bay (off-shore and at 1 metre depth) reaching 16.8°C this afternoon.

Today was the warmest day since the 25th July last year (28.5°C), which also turned out to be the hottest day of the 2012.

(19:20), 22.9°C, RH 65%, DP 16.0°C, 1014 hPa (S), Wind 2 mph NNE.
