That's the sort of rain I like!

Monthly rainfall for July so far: 70.8mm, a little above average.

Virtually all fell on 2 rain-days, and virtually all of that overnight!

Jul 27: 50.5mm, the highest I've ever recorded on a rainday.
Jul 22: 15.6mm, almost all in a thunderstorm at 0400 GMT.
Edgmond, Nr Newport Shropshire. N Shropshire Plain, rain shadow of the Welsh hills, sheltered from all snow directions, exposed to Cheshire Gap showers, otherwise similar to rest of inland England.
