22nd August 2013 - Very clear & sunny

The sunshine recorder turned on at 06:35 and turned off at 19:55 giving a total of 13.4 hours of unbroken sunshine, that is a remarkable 95% of the total possible and testament to the extremely clear conditions and visibility today. It is not often (in fact, very rare) that I record 95% of the total possible.

Monthly total now up to 174.4 hours. Another 200+ hours summer month is on the cards, in what is turning out to be a rather sunny (and dry) summer.

Maximum today of 23.9°C, the temperature being pegged back somewhat by a breeze coming in off the sea.

(20:15), 19.1°C, RH 78%, DP 15.1°C, 1016 hPa (F), Wind 3 mph ESE.
