Swell >20' 4th consecutive day.

At Sevenstones that is. It's been up to 24' on a couple of occasions. Swells of that size at the tip of Cornwall are not unusual, a swell of 11m at Sevenstones has a 5 year return period. However to have 4 consecutive days > 20' is certainly notable, especially as it isn't going to go down anytime soon.

No severe gales or notably heavy rainfalls here this month, though that may be about to change. Most of the strong winds have been from the SW, Penzance's most sheltered direction, as a result the strongest gust in Penzance this month is 47mph (total rainfall so far 62.7mm, 45% of the December norm). I'm not aware of any gust >70mph being recorded in west Cornwall so far this month.

However, the sea state has certainly been notable, quite spectacular seas over the last few days. This is in total contrast to the exceptionally calm conditions earlier in the month. This contrast can be seen at http://www.sennen-cove.com/imdec13.htm

Superb wind/kite surfing conditions at Marazion this morning, in the shelter of Mount's Bay. couple of pics attached. As a contrast there is also a north coast pic from Sennen-cove.com, you wouldn't want to be out in that.
